Prof. Pascal Nemirovski

Pascal Nemirovski is widely regarded as one of the most highly soughtafter piano pedagogues worldwide. Many of his students have achieved top international prizes in esteemed competitions such as Leeds, Busoni, Ettlingen, YCA New York, YCAT London, BBC New Generation Artist, and have gone on to become successful recording artists represented by renowned Concert Artist Management companies like IMG, Harrison Parrott, Askonas Holt, Intermusica, among others. Notable among his accomplished students are Lise de la Salle, Louis Schwizgebel, Daniel Lebhardt, Mario Mora, Roman Kosyakov, Emanuil Ivanov, Edward Leung, and Yi Zhong. Pascal embarked on his musical journey at the Juilliard School, where he studied with Nadia Reisenberg and Adele Marcus from 1981 to 1984, supported by a full Steinway & Freundlich Fund scholarship. He later pursued further studies in Paris under the tutelage of France Clidat and Alexis Weissenberg. During this time, he began performing concerts and conducting masterclasses across Europe, the United States, and Asia. In 2004, Pascal released his debut album, "Entre Ciel et Terre," featuring works by Chopin, Prokofiev, and Scriabin. The recording received unanimous acclaim from the press, further cementing his reputation.

At the age of 28, Pascal's exceptional talent for teaching was already recognised, leading to numerous invitations to deliver lectures, masterclasses, and workshops worldwide. He has shared his expertise at prestigious institutions such as the Shanghai Conservatory and Beijing Central and China Conservatories in China, Sibelius Academy in Finland, Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris in France, Royal Irish Academy of Music in Ireland, Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and The Jerusalem Music Centre in Israel, Moscow Conservatory and Central School of Music in Russia, and Royal Academy of Music, Purcell School, and Oxford University in the UK. Moreover, he has served as a sought-after jury member in international piano competitions across the globe.

For a decade, Pascal held a teaching position at the Royal Academy of Music in London and was honoured with the title of Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (Hon ARAM). With extensive teaching experience, he also assumed responsibility for the "Piano Pedagogy" Subject Specialism for LRAM (Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music) and edited two books. During this period, he also taught at the Purcell School.

In 2016, Pascal joined the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he currently serves as the "International Chair" of Piano. In 2022, he took on the position of "Artistic Director" of the Madrid International Piano Competition, further contributing to the piano world. In 2023, Pascal embarked on the creation of IPM..Center, a comprehensive platform aimed at providing young pianists with diverse activities and a supportive community. The platform encompasses an International Academy in Vienna, an Online Competition, Salons, and a Blog, all designed to nurture and inspire young pianistic talent.
